Recipe: Energy Balls

Ingredients

3 tablespoons Omega 3 Mix

200g medjool dates

240g raw almonds

38g Cocoa Powder (more for later)

28g Hemp Seeds (more for later)

1/4 teaspoon salt

48g almond or peanut butter

15ml melted coconut oil (optional)

Pistachios (for wrapping)


Method

Place the dates in a food processor and process until you get a paste. Remove and set aside.

Place the almonds in the food processor and process until you have very small, fine pieces. Add the cocoa powder, hemp seeds, omega-3 mix and salt. Process until evenly mixed. Don't overmix because the almonds tend to form butter. Remove and set aside.

Put the date paste back into the processor, along with the almond/peanut butter and melted coconut oil (optional). Process until the mixture is smooth. The result should be a paste. If it's too liquidy, add more cocoa or hemp seeds. 

Place in the fridge for 10 minutes. Scoop out the paste with a tablespoon and shape into balls with your hands.  

Roll the balls in hemp seeds, cocoa powder or broken pistachios (you can use a food processor to break them up).
