2 tbsp loose leaf masala chai
1 cup rolled oats
¼ cup Iswari Chia Seeds
½ cup almonds, roughly chopped
¼ cup mixed seeds
1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup coconut yoghurt
2 cups plantbased milk of choice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp orange zest
3 cups frozen cherries
1-2 tbsp maple syrup, optional
Fresh orange slices, optional
Prepare the tea by adding the masala chai to a cup with 6 tablespoons of boiled water. Allow to sit and steep for 10 minutes, then pass the tea through a strainer to remove the leaves and spices.
Add the rolled oats, chia seeds, almonds, mixed seeds and cinnamon to a large bowl and stir until evenly mixed.
To a separate bowl, add the tea mixture, coconut yoghurt, plantbased milk, vanilla extract and orange zest. Whisk until smooth and evenly mixed.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Add the frozen cherries to a saucepan with the maple syrup and gently heat for a few minutes until warm.
