Almond Butter Protein Bars
Ingredients
2 ½ cups Super Vegan Proats Almond Butter & Cacao
½ cup SV Almond Butter
⅓ cup maple syrup
2-4 tbsp water, as needed
Topping
100g dark chocolate
3 tbsp SV Almond Butter
¼ cup flaked almonds
Sea salt
Recipe
Line the base of an 8x8” pan with parchment paper and set aside.
Add the proats, almond butter and maple syrup to your food processor and blend until the mixture sticks together. Add 2-4 tablespoons of water as needed if the mixture is too dry.
Press the dough into the lined pan using a spatula and set aside.
For the topping, melt the chocolate over a double boiler and add the almond butter.
Whisk until smooth, then spread on to of the protein bar mixture.
Top with flaked almonds and sea salt to taste.
Cut into bars and enjoy! Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or freeze and defrost as needed.
